Off 17th Ave in Pensacola, Florida, lives a local legend. It has, in fact, become one of the major landmarks of Pensacola. The famous, or for some, the infamous train trestle known simply as The Graffiti Bridge. The Bridge has been many things over the years, including a place for young artists to express their art, a place for budding photographers to keep track of local trends, and more recently a way local non-profits can get free exposure and advertising for their events. The Pensacola Humane Society has done just that, using the Bridge to promote and raise awareness for its third annual Paws on Palafox event.
Paws on Palafox is the Pensacola Humane Society's walk to raise money for their low-cost spay and neuter clinic for cats and dogs. The goal is to raise 30,000 dollars with the walk, with a little over 25,000 already in the bag. Registration is 25 dollars, which includes water and treats. Downtown Pensacola’s shady streets are the ideal place to hold this annual event that has been called the most “pet-friendly,”
